“Safe space: complex psychosocial support of Ukrainian schools in war conditions” (2023)

The purpose of the project:

Strengthening the vitality and improving the well-being of schoolchildren and increasing the ability of pedagogical workers and psychologists to provide psychosocial support to students in all regions of Ukraine

Activities within the project:

– carrying out 250 one-day online trainings for 2500 teachers 400 schools from different regions of Ukraine to provide psychosocial assistance to students and their parents; 

– carrying out 100 methodological webinars for 2500 teachers participating in trainings;  

– teaching 100 school psychologists (10 three-day online trainings); 

– organization 200 group supervisions for 100 school psychologists;      

– carrying out 1400 psychological group sessions (in person and online) for students (3000 persons), which have serious manifestations of stress;  

– carrying out 1000 individual online (telephone) sessions with children, who have symptoms of PTSD and are at risk (10 professional psychologists of NaUKMA); 

– spend 4 (before and after ) online survey of teachers, school psychologists, students and parents; 

– spend 50 semi-structured interviews of teachers, school psychologists, students and parents; 

They will work on the implementation of the project:

public organization "Words Help" and specialists Center for mental health of NaUKMA with support Plan International. The project is financed by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID)
