20-26 In May, a new group of CHANGE consultants was trained at the Mental Health Center of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. The participants mastered a new program of psychological assistance, developed in the project: studied the manual and the specifics of the new support program, including strategies and techniques, and also practiced the acquired knowledge and skills, considering clinical cases.

"There is a very important stage ahead of the CHANGE project – basic research. Its purpose is to determine the overall effectiveness of the assistance program we have developed. We will involve in the main study 500 participants from all over Ukraine and we will work with them in an online format. Therefore, we expanded the team of specialists, who will work with the clients of the program and assist in the implementation of the study ”, – Vita Kachay tells, CHANGE Director.

CHANGE is an advanced international research project, implemented by experts of the Mental Health Center of the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", NGO "Words help" in cooperation with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). A qualified team of researchers and specialists has developed and explores a new program of psychological assistance to men, who are stressed by the war and drink alcohol, to relieve tension.
