The project is implemented jointly with the Regional Center for Combating Violence, trauma and suicide (RVTS East) and Akershus University Clinic (Ahus) (Oslo, Norway) in cooperation with the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" (NaUKMA) and NGO "Words help"
The project is part of a large-scale three-year program of cooperation between the Government of Norway and the Government of Ukraine "UKR-18/0016 Health Collaboration with Ukraine", focused on supporting health care reform in Ukraine and implementing international standards of care.

The purpose of the project
Development of academic, educational and professional training programs for future and practicing specialists in the field of health care and crisis response. The project also aims to strengthen the vitality of communities, victims of the military conflict in Ukraine.
Project tasks and activities
- Trainings for trainers (NaUKMA experts and psychosocial rehabilitation centers in. Kyiv and the city of. Pokrovskaya) for training specialists, working in the areas of health and psychosocial support at the community level
- Carrying out one- and two-day workshops for local community professionals to gain knowledge and practical skills in crisis management and suicide prevention and piloting and adapting the relevant academic program
- Development and inclusion of training courses on crisis management and suicide prevention (3 ECTS credits) to bachelor programs of the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy"
- Translation and adaptation of information resources on psychosocial assistance in emergencies, developed by the Norwegian Regional Center for Violence Prevention, injuries and suicides https://v1.psykososialberedskap.no/en/ and its integration into the information platform of the Center for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support NaUKMA
- Conducting research to obtain objective and relevant data on existing social networks within the local communities of Kyiv and Pokrovsk, which will assist local authorities, state and public organizations in the process of developing local policies to increase community sustainability.
