National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, with the support of the German Foreign Ministry, German humanitarian assistance, Malteser International and the Maltese Aid Service of Ukraine conduct first aid training.
The purpose of the training is to master the basic knowledge of providing first aid and practice the practical skills of the participants, practicing in the field of activities with victims of the military conflict in Ukraine, in particular internally displaced persons, ATO participants and members of their families, local population in the East of Ukraine.
Duration: 8 year
The training includes the following questions:
- What is an accident??
- Search for help and emergency call
- Two life-saving techniques
- Practice of indirect heart massage
- Compression bandage / Stopping threatening bleeding
- Anti-shock position
- Help with injuries (applying bandages)
- Immobilization
- Cooling for burns
- Warming with hypothermia
- Correct behavior in the event of an accident
- Personal safety during first aid measures
- Working out the Rautek method
- Airway patency
- Blows between the shoulder blades and the Heimlich method
- First psychological help
- Psychiatric disorders
- Stable position on the side
- Prevention of accidents
- Viewing thematic video materials
