We are starting a new project to support Ukrainian schools

We are starting a new project of socio-psychological support of Ukrainian schools in the conditions of war.

With the beginning of a full-scale war in Ukraine, the educational process in schools underwent serious changes. Children have to study in between air raids and in bomb shelters. Despite this, education is essential to the recovery and resilience of children and youth. So now students and school staff need support.

This year, the "Safe Space" program will cover 400 schools from different regions of Ukraine.

What are we planning?:
and will liaise with local authorities and organizations trainings and webinars for 2500 teachers on providing social and psychological assistance to students and their parents
and will liaise with local authorities and organizations trainings and supervision for 100 school psychologists
and will liaise with local authorities and organizations group psychological sessions for 3000 students, which have serious signs of stress
and will liaise with local authorities and organizations individual sessions with children, who have symptoms of PTSD and are at risk

We are also preparing more methodological materials and useful information about mental health for teachers, school psychologists, Collect data on the needs and problems of the new Ukrainian school reform on the ground and provide open access to them for teachers.

Over the implementation of the project “Safe space: complex psychosocial support of Ukrainian schools in war conditions” will work:
public organization "Words Help" and specialists Center for mental health of NaUKMA with support Plan International. The project is financed by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID)
