Strengthening resilience and improving mental health of children in the territories, that were most affected by the hostilities in Ukraine

Project "Strengthening vitality and improving mental health of children in the territories, that were most affected by hostilities in Ukraine" is implemented by the Public Organization “Words help” and the Mental Health Center of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in partnership with the international organization Plan International. The project is financed by the Swedish foundation Radiohjälpen (Ukrainian. "Radio Help").

The purpose of the project is to provide students, teachers and school psychologists from war-affected schools, access to integrated and inclusive mental health and psychosocial support services. The project is focused on implementation programs “Safe space”, with a special emphasis on increasing the vitality of children and adolescents and mitigating the effects of stress, caused by traumatic events.

The project is implemented in 11 regions of Ukraine, namely Odesa, Mykolayivska, Khersonskaya, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kharkivska, Zaporozhye, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions.
