Experts from the Mental Health Center presented the program “Safe space” at the Kyiv EdFest festival

25-28 March, educators pumped their management skills at a large-scale educational festival Kyiv EdFest!

Of course, the Safe Space project team could not pass. So within the festival we held 2 trainings and lectures on topics:

  • "Creating a safe space for children in educational institutions",
  • “Prevention of burnout: open dialogues”,
  • “Suicide prevention among children and adolescents”.

The events were conducted by project experts – Victoria Solovyova and Kateryna Klyuzko.

The results of two studies were also presented during the event, on the basis of which the program was developed “Safe space”. This information was provided: Catherine Garbar – Researcher of the Center for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support NaUKMA and Andriy Hirnyk – Head of the NaUKMA Center for Conflict Research and Psychoanalysis.

Teachers took part in the events, practical psychologists and school principals.

Participants noted the practical benefits of educational activities of the project and expressed their intention to use the acquired knowledge in their work.
